Cemeteries

The two Tifereth Israel cemeteries are some of the congregation’s most cherished assets. The cemeteries are overseen by a committee of volunteers who are devoted to both their preservation and enhancement for future generations.

The congregation’s commitment to maintaining the cemeteries is to observe the legacy and tradition of the Jewish people and provide a sacred burial ground for its members, their families, and other members of the Jewish community.

Those interested in purchasing one or more plots in the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery should contact Executive Director, Nancy Gurwin at 614-928-3269.

Burials, ceremonies, and approved activities may only be take place during the cemeteries’ open hours and not on Saturdays or other holy days as designated by the rabbis of the congregation.
