PRAYING IN ISRAEL
A lot of the prayers that we say “in the Diaspora” (or at least a few of them) have wrinkles because we may be praying with “Eretz Yisrael” – the Land of Israel – in mind.
Cantor Chomsky has been Israeli for over 2 years – and is active in 2 Masorti (that’s Israeli for “Conservative”) congregations in Tel Aviv.
Join him for some insight – and opportunity to discuss –
- What’s different when one prays in Israel?
- What special adjustments has the Masorti movement made in prayers?
- Can some of these be exported chutz la-aretz (outside the Land of Israel) and put into practice . . . in places like Columbus, OH?!
