COVID Policy

Unfortunately, as the High Holidays approach, the prevalence of Covid-19 cases in the United States is increasing. In addition, there have been several people affected by Covid-19 within our community. Fortunately, no one has suffered a serious illness. Nevertheless, Covid-19 can cause serious harm to some people, especially to those who are immunosuppressed due to illness or medical treatment. Therefore, the leadership of CTI would like to offer the following recommendations

  • High Holiday services will remain mask optional at this time.
  • If you or your immediate family members have any viral symptoms (acute onset of cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever, etc.) you are strongly urged to stay home and watch service online. Please do this for the safety of your fellow congregants
  • If you choose to wear a mask at services, please remember the following:
    • The best masks or the N-95 or KN-95, which filter out about 90% of potential airborne viruses
    • Paper surgical masks also offer protection and are the “standard” for health care personnel at hospitals.
    • Cloth masks or home-made masks do NOT offer protection against airborne viral infections
    • Wearing any mask over the mouth only does not offer protection against airborne viral infections.
